Welcome to the first UFO Thursday of 2012!
For lots of reasons, as you know, I haven’t been sewing or stitching this year. I’m feeling the urge though! So instead of a “sewing” UFO, I came up with another brilliant idea for UFO Thursday. *grin* Let’s get out all our gadgets, did you know I love gadgets, that we’ve bought at Craft Shows and Workshops, which we haven’t used and see how many we can find. It’s usually the case of looking for something else and coming across one of those gadgets exclaiming, “Oh, I forgot I bought that!” I have quite a few actually! How about you?
So today’s UFO Gadget is an Automatic Spool Knitter – Embellish-Knit. I bought this at the Sydney Craft Show 4 or 5 years ago. I came across it the end of last year and thought I’d give it a go. So I used the yarn that came with it and made a lovely cord. It was quite fun, after I got the hang of it, and what a nifty gadget, I thought. Then…what do I do with the cord? I had a look on the internet – where else – and found instructions for Celtic Knots, etc. I even looked on You-Tube. But I couldn’t get my fingers to form any sort a pretty knot. So I gave up in the end. Maybe I’ll pick it up in another few years and try again. *grin*
Now, don’t tell me you don’t have some gadget forgotten somewhere, which you bought with grand ideas of creativity, only to have it buried in a box or drawer. Dig one out and share it with us. *grin*
