How to Make a Hexagon
I’ve had a customer recently ask me how to use the paper pieces to make a hexie. So I thought I’d do a quick tutorial on how I make mine. I’ll show you the process I use, and the gadgets. Did you know I love gadgets? *grin*
1. I lay my template on my fabric. You can see through the template which allows you to fussy cut. This is the template that comes with the BusyFingers 1″ Hexagon Paper Pieces. I’m using a Jelly Roll for the fabric.
2. I cut around the template using a small rotary cutter
3. I have my nifty rotating cutting mat which makes cutting easier. You just rotate as you need.
4. Now my fabric is cut. I then lay my paper piece onto my fabric….
5. … and using my Sewline Fabric Glue Pen apply a line of glue along one side of the paper.

6. Do you see the pink line? You don’t need much.
7. Then I fold the fabric over the paper and press lightly to adhere it to the glue.
8. I continue with each side of the hexie appling glue and folding the fabric over.
9. Now all the sides of the hexie have been glued and folded.
10. Turn it over, and wa-la, a finished hexie! *grin*
I have put together a kit to get you started to make your hexagons. Click here to see “Your Hexie Making Set”
I hope you’ve enjoyed my little tutorial. *grin*
