Monday’s Show and Tell – The Show…

Good morning!! *grin*

The Gunnedah Show was this weekend, and I entered a few things. The bag I made in December for my baby lap top received 1st Place. It’s from Janelle Wind’s book, Pieces of Me. And my fabric basket, again from Janelle’s book (I’ve made heaps of items from that book!) received 2nd Place. I really enjoy entering things at the Show…I encourage you, as your local Show is coming up, to gather up some of the things you’ve made, to enter them. *grin*

Monday’s Show and Tell – A Day in the Country…

Good Morning! *grin*

I had a wonderful day in Nundle yesterday at the annual Girls Day Out in the Country with Kerry Swain and Sue Daley. Kerry does such a fantastic job at organising these weekends. Thanks, Kerry!

I didn’t take many photos this year…too busy having fun learning to do more paper piecing shapes. I’m a slow worker but did manage to get some clam shells done for a wonderful Clamshell Sewing Keep, and did a few of the six-pointed star shapes for another project. You can see what little I got done below. Some ladies were just soooo fast at it! I’m looking forward to working more on my clam shells soon. *grin* OH, and I won some great fabric, too. One of my favourite colours!

As a result of finding a new favourite thing to do, I’ll be carrying more paper piecing shapes, patterns and kits in the shop. I do also carry Sue’s new book, “New English Paper Piecing A Faster Approach to a Traditional Favourite by Sue Daley“, which in fact I need to order more of. *grin* Available will be separate packs of paper pieces and templates for each quilt in the book. You can choose your favourite.

Ok, I’d best keep going. I’m hoping that the new website will be up and running in the next couple of weeks! Lots of work. I haven’t been adding any new products at the moment, because of that. And I have HEAPS of new products for you. So if you are interested in any of the paper-piecing packs that go with Sue’s new book, just let me know. *grin*

Monday’s Show and Tell…Don’t faint now! grin

Hi Everyone! Surprise!! I’m posting a Monday’s Show and Tell. *grin*

It’s been ages, hasn’t it? Life is back to normal and my back is getting there, too. What a drama it’s all been. Don’t want to go through that again. I’m going to the gym for Personal Training…which I just love, and seeing the Chiropractor, too. Everything’s coming good. *grin*

So for Show and Tell today I have a “little black purse” I made to take with me on the cruise. I even used it! It’s a pattern from Melly & Me called, Out With The Girls. This is one of those patterns that you just don’t know how wonderful it is until you make it up. It’s just the right size to take to a formal event, like the wedding we went to last weekend. Doesn’t take up too much room at the table. There is a strap for it, but I didn’t put it on. I was very happy with how it turned out, and it will be one of my favourites. *grin*

Next time for Monday’s Show and Tell, I have a bag I made from Janelle’s book, Pieces of Me, to show you. I just love my bags!

Monday’s Show and Tell – Blowin’ in the Wind

I was doing this post earlier, but then the box of Vignette No 5 arrived….so you know what I’ve been doing since. *grin*

I don’t think I’ve ever showed you the first quilts I made. I was hanging them on the line to dry, and thought I’d take some photos. I think quilts look so nice hanging up and blowing a little bit in the wind. *grin* They are well loved and I had fun making them.

Remember this clock….well, I just broke it! I’m VERY sad. I was quite attached to it. I think I want to cry.

What do you have to share with us today. I hope you will. I’m off to the Post Office now to post my orders. Those of you who ordered Vignette No 5 will get it soon.

Well, it’s a bright, sunny morning here in Gunnedah, NSW. I can hear the whipper snipper going! *grin*

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was very productive.

I’ll show you what I made for my Spring Swap partner. It’s a swap that Clare from Clare’s Craftroom organised. I made a Spring scissor keep. It was so fun and easy. It’s from the book, Sew Necessary, from Art to Heart – Nancy Halvorsen. Isn’t it pretty! *grin*

I’m going to Newcastle tomorrow morning until the weekend. So I might be a bit quiet this week. Any orders will be posted next Monday. Have a wonderful Monday, Everyone!

Hi Everyone!

Are you enjoying this warmer weather? It’s already too hot for me!

Today I’d like to show you, not a sewed project but the two items I found last weekend when we went to the Swap Meet. It was my birthday that day. I had been given some birthday money, and I spent exactly what I was given. How perfect is that. *grin*

I got this Willow tin. I love orange and the coffee pots on it. I also found this 1950′s clock. I just love it! And it works, too…when I wind it up.

Good Monday Morning Everyone! Did you have a good weekend. *grin* I was able to get out to the sewing room, after a bit of Spring Cleaning, and get a few things done. I made my Spring Swap pressie for Clare’s Craftroom Spring Swap, I sorted out the layout of my Tis the Season top, I finished sewing together my Vignette Blocks 2 & 3, and I finished my Little Tweets bag from Gail Pan Designs. That’s what I’ll show you today. I’m so very happy with it! Now when I’m working on a project I’ll have someplace to put my threads and things. I love being organised. *grin*
