Welcome to my new Day! Let Thursday be a day of inspiration!

We all have UFO’s (Unfinished Objects), don’t we? Fess up, I know you do! And if you don’t, you’re in a class of your own, and I congratulate you! *bow*.

I was thinking that my Monday’s Show and Tell is good, but not all of us have a finished project to show…..so I thought (I know, dangerous) that I might have a UFO Day. I chose Thursday because as we draw closer to the weekend, we start thinking about what we might work on, and/or maybe we’ve had a chase to do some sewing during the week.

I started this wall hanging last January, that’s 2010. Oh my, it’s been almost a year!! I haven’t worked on it since… probably, March. So I think that definitely classifies it as a UFO. By fessing up here, that will make me accountable to start working on it, even if it’s only a little bit at a time. So on Sunday, as I’ll be a bit busy on Saturday *grin*, I’ll do some work on my Happy Days project. I started this project because I love the style of the dresses. I’m making it for myself and will hang it in my sewing room when finished. I might even give it a good go and finished it by April to enter in the Show! Now, that’s an idea! I have about 2/3 of the blocks done. Which reminds me, I need to make a couple block keeper books for all the quilts I’m going to make this year.

So the theory of UFO Thursday will be to help us get our UFO’s going again and keep us plodding along until they are finished. When they are finished, you can show them in Monday’s Show and Tell. How does that sound?

There is no limit of what constitutes a UFO. It can be something you started years ago, months ago, or last week, even. It doesn’t even have to be a patchwork project. It can be cross stitch or knitting, etc.  I have a few of these, too! If you’d like to share what you are working on and tell us something about it, that would be grand! I love to hear all about what people are making, why they are making it, for whom, etc.

I really hope you might like to join me, and feel a bit inspired to get out some of  your own UFO’s.
