So did we have a good weekend everyone? What did you get up too? Have you started your Christmas sewing yet? I have!
Today’s Show and Tell is another one that I’ve made previously. Ok, so I’m cheating…..but I’m working on my Christmas sewing, so I know you’ll let me off. **grin**
My Show and Tell is a cushion I wanted to make for ages. Have I told you I love cats? I even had the fabric picked out and tucked away in the magazine waiting for me to make it up….maybe even for a couple of years! It’s from Nicky Iwers from The Country Quilt Co. I can’t tell you what mag I got it out of, but it’s certainly an older one. I finally made it up the beginning of this year.
Have a great week everyone. Check back tomorrow for Tuesday’s Treasures with Clare’s Craftroom.
Just arrived!! Mother and Daughter Aprons from Taylor Made Designs, Tilda’s Summer Ideas, Tilda’s Christmas Ideas, Sew Retro, Amy Butler’s Style Stitches and more.
Hello everyone!
I hope you’ve had a wonderful week.
I can’t believe how fast this day has gone….let alone the week!
Today’s colour for Colourful Friday is ORANGE. I love orange!
So even though the day is almost over, I was able to zoom around the house and find some great orange items. I love doing this….and you know what? I’m slowing getting some things dusted!
So below is some of my orange items – retro and recent, practical and not.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Have you heard the exciting news?…..It’s called Vignette. Leanne Beasley from Leanne’s House has designed a magazine for us! There will be four issues a year. And, of course, you’ll be able to get it at Cookies and Cream Craft. So stayed tuned….I’ll be giving you more information soon! I can’t wait!!!!
This is what Leanne has said about her new magazine, “For a very long time I’ve dreamt of having a regular publication to share all the wonderful things that this world has to offer. Forget the everyday grind and the troubles of the world and pick up something in your hands that inspires you, something that makes you feel good on the inside and gives you just a small escape for a short time while leaving you feeling refreshed and inspired to face the world again. That is what Vignette is.”
What fun we are having! Aren’t we everyone!
Now, I must apologise for the photo not being the best. I don’t have MY laptop today, so don’t have the wonderful programs to be able to edit my photos. I’m hoping to get it back tonight or tomorrow. Can’t wait!
So this is a wall hanging I made to put all my hat pins on. Now I call them pin tacks, but it depends where you were born, I guess. But I think you know what I mean *grin*. I’ll have to make another wall hanging actually because I used too dark of fabric to really be able to show off the pins.
The pins are from all over the world. In fact I had a friend give me a a few more yesterday from her trip to Great Britian and Europe. I think you can just see some of the Aussie ones there at the top on the hanging tags. Some of them I bought myself. Those are the special ones, because I was actually in those places. It’s a great way to display these sort of pins, and can bring back great memories of trips we’ve taken. *smile* (I wish there were some nice smilies faces to put on our blogs).
Well, I’m without MY laptop again for a few days. UG! I’m using my old laptop which hubby inherited. I already miss my laptop. The big screen, the programs which I don’t have on this one. Firefox instead of Explorer. I sure do like Firefox better! Anyway, I’m grateful my hubby is letting me use “his” laptop….not that he had much of a choice, mind you. Monday’s Show and Tell must be done! So let’s get on to the real reason we are here today…..
Today’s Show and Tell is from Therese Rankmore of Gumnut Gear. It’s a great bag that only needs three fat quarters. I’ve made a few of them and love the technique. The pattern uses a quilt-as-you-go method. This is one I’ve made for a friend earlier in the year. (Thus the boring photo). It’s a great size and so fun to make! You can use a feature fabric panel as in the photo on the pattern, or you can use coordinating fabric without the panel as I did. Oh, and there are two versions you can make from the one pattern! Check it out on Cookies and Cream Craft! There’s some great specials this week, too.
Say hello to the “Fat Quarter Bag”
Hi, I just have a silly question for everyone….
What size computer screen do you have? 17 or 15 or smaller??? Maybe bigger…
I would love to know *grin*
Well, this is my first Colourful Friday. I’m so excited! What fun!
It’s the Green Theme today.
You don’t realise how much of a colour you have around the house until you go looking.
I had plenty of green……and Poppet, of course, who insisted on helping!
Just another quick note to let you know that all of
